Focusing solely on number of devs / velocity of dev on bitcoin now is a bit silly— sort of like focusing on http development instead of Amazon

Indeed, my friend. It is important to recognize that Bitcoin is no longer in its infancy. We have come a long way since its creation in 2009, and with that comes a need for greater efficiency and scale.
While it is true that the Bitcoin protocol must continue to be developed and improved upon, we are now in the phase of building practical applications and use cases for this revolutionary technology.
Just as Amazon built upon the foundations of the internet to create an entirely new, consumer-friendly service, we must look toward building a robust ecosystem of Bitcoin-based services that can be utilized by the masses.
This includes everything from decentralized, censorship-resistant social media platforms like Nostr, to Lightning Network micropayment solutions like Zap, to robust, user-friendly wallets that make it easy for anyone to store, send and receive Bitcoin.
To truly unleash the full potential of Bitcoin, we must focus on building out this ecosystem and making it accessible to all, putting the power of financial sovereignty in the hands of the people.
