Correct. PoW could be a new based supscription each month proving you're willing to do some work for using the service/client. Maybe that work could go to mining on that service/client BTC address. And in the same time helping bitcoin decentralization. But CPUs are not suitable for bitcoin mining? ⛏️ Tell that to nerdminer :) every bit of hash power counts even if it so miniscule.

Yes bots can do PoW also but at least they'll do something meaningful instead just spreading spam.
