Questions for fresh, new bitcoiners (ie folks who got into #bitcoin #btc in the last 6 months); What took you so long, did something or someone discourage you from getting in earlier? What finally convinced you to take the plunge?

In my case, several factors played a role: the confiscatory greed of the government raising taxes ridiculously over the last decade, my #libertarian roots, the feeling of a lack of real #freedom in this society, my background as a software engineer giving me a true love for #technology, and my habit of saving and investing in something that won’t go to zero. #Bitcoin was the natural choice.
