CBDCs will give central banks complete visibility and control into your financial transactions and activity. Sold an old phone after upgrading? Taxed. This comes with privacy concerns for individuals and businesses. All transactions would be recorded on a centralized ledger, which would enable mass government surveillance. As if our money and lives aren't controlled enough as it is.
I find it crazy that I have read people in support of this as an answer to Bitcoin.

Always baffled how this doesn’t strike fear in nocoiner hearts when I tell em. Most say “that’s bad” in a shoulder shrug type of manner, instead of starting to think what could be the defense for the ever more visible individual.
I think it's mostly the same people who lack privacy concerns in general. The "I have nothing to hide, so I don't care" type.
