One of my favorite small hacks for improving my privacy that I learned this year is sending my images and videos to myself on Signal as a note to self. This strips the metadata before I share them online. Thank you very much, Mr. Matt nostr:npub1qny3tkh0acurzla8x3zy4nhrjz5zd8l9sy9jys09umwng00manysew95gx 🙏

The only downside is that on my end, Signal seems to strip some of the original color from the media and make it look a bit greyer. A temporary workaround I’ve been using is applying a vivid filter before sending to Signal, though I’m not sure it fully preserves the original color.

Has anyone else run into this issue and/or found a better workaround?

Signal reduces resolution by default. You can turn it off.

Thank you, for the tip. Is this what you are referring to? I just switched to high.

Yep! Hopefully it prevents any changes.
