He has all sorts of climate hysteria and pronoun pins on his bag. He’s as pale as a piece of copier paper and about 65 lbs overweight. He’s the SoyJack meme.
Fwiw, he could be medically vulnerable (immunocompromised transplant or cancer patient) or be legitimately sick and considerate.
When I see people in masks these days, I try to give them the benefit of the doubt. Some are undoubtedly paranoid/traumatized, but I know a few people who live daily life with a risk of life-threatening illness from minor infections. They’ve always masked up on public transportation.
They do not work. If you haven’t done the research on this by now, I’m sorry. I’m not reliving the last 4 years.
Eh, it’s not so black and white. There’s a reason surgeons and dentists have always worn masks, and vulnerable populations have used them for years, before any of the Covid stuff started.
What it means for a mask to “work” also depends you’re thinking about an individual’s personal health versus some type of crowd control.
Areas with bad wildfires are another instance where it makes sense, to a point.
But we’ve all spent an unfortunate amount of time on these topics - fully agree on not reliving it 🤝

If that’s really what they were being used for, I’d be on board too. But that’s less than half a percent of the people wearing them.
The sheep are doing the work to be sure it stays a norm. So I try to encourage them and even compliment on doing their part; they are just unaware of part in what lol. And if it ever gets outlawed for surveillance purposes, they will raise hell for us.
I also know that in China they can surveil you by your gait. So the masks don’t even matter. For the basic police cams we have now, they may work, but that’s not a long term solution.
