I would describe it as gullible and conspiracy theorists. That is true slur for people who dare to think for themselves.
There are true nutters out there but smearing everyone who isn't a dedicated true believer in THE narrative with conspiracy theorist is an intentional method of control also.
Yep, true true. I've heard, but don't know directly, that "conspiracy theorist" was invented by the US gov and then the media was directed to use the term. Reminds me of a journalist I met during Bush's presidency... She was a guest at a hotel I worked at, and she told me about how they were receiving bullet point instructions from the bush administration of things they had to say.
