When, in the finale of “Prometheus”, Elizabeth tells David that she wants to find out why the “engineers” decided to destroy humanity, the answer is right before her eyes — AI, the Antichrist.

The finale of “Covenant” perfectly illustrates the fact that the danger of AI is even greater than the danger of destructive biotechnologies, for it is the danger of the end of freedom and hence of everything truly existential in a perpetual AI-dictatorship.

A horrible end (hence a new beginning) is better than endless horror.
