i think it’s good that you’re sceptical, but in my opinion bitcoin is to be used as a currency not just a store of value. for a lot of these people this is how they are able to participate in the economy as many of them don’t have bank accounts. what nostr:npub1aftmyhm62lrp6lwsha3yzyjy5kqdvuy7g23qg28a8q0cnmudv0ds0sdcke is doing on the island by teaching them bitcoin not only as a currency but also as a way for them to save for their own and family’s future

to continue: it’s amazing what she has accomplished by teaching the local population about the importance if bitcoin. what is also helping, is her social media presence which draws attention from all corners of the world. people are visiting the island just too see the circular bitcoin economy that is starting to bloom there

no worries. i will encourage you to visit a bitcoin circular economy. can be anywhere. i say that because i think it’s important to experience these things yourself in order to make up your mind about how you stand on the subject. but by pushing yourself to see and learn, and understanding why bitcoin is important to these people is an essential factor for bitcoin’s success
