Think about the tariffs we’ve been slapping on Chinese stuff, like during Trump’s time and even after, trying to slow down their massive export machine and fix the trade gap. China hit back with their own tariffs, and it turned into this big economic tug-of-war. Then there’s the sketchy stuff with Chinese students here on visas—the CCP says they have to help out Chinese intelligence, basically turning them into spies whether they want to or not, snagging info from us while they’re at it. Add in the cyberattacks, stealing tech secrets, and all the influence games, and it’s clear this has been a quiet battle for who runs the world.
