Do you practice "pants on, gun on?" If not, why not?

If you ever see me wearing pants, or cargo shorts, yes a very safe bet to assume I'm carrying, unless I'm stuck in a commie state for reasons too annoying to get into.

Not at the house I don't practice this. But I always have something nearby. If I leave the property with clothes on, that's a different story.

How close is close? What about a home invasion? My home is a trailer, so... My close by is 3 steps.

This may or may not be in our kitchen, which is about 10 steps from anywhere on the first level. We have lots of animals that will warn of anyone coming on the property, between dogs, chickens, guinea fowl and a guard goose.
