These are only the publicly visible nodes. Some estimates suggest that there are over 200k nodes that are not publicly visible, many of which are located in Asia, including China.

Yes and no. While it’s impossible to access data from private nodes, which is a positive aspect for Bitcoin’s privacy, public nodes can still provide a valuable glimpse into Bitcoin’s global adoption.
