I'm sad by the fact that there are those who believe in whatever they're told.

I'm depressed by the fact that my daily routine is affected by the decisions made by them.

Democracy is just simply a popularity contest. And even when the policies in place demonstrate themselves to be clearly unpopular & basically against the general consensus, those who believe that it still comes into play, will dress you down, call you dumb, or flat out ignore you for ever pointing out any truths.
