As an example, when Minecraft dungeons was a thing, only one player (the host) had to own DLCs, and the entire party could play with you in them. That was a seminal moment for me - it really felt like they wanted me to have fun with my friends.

They’re recreating the feeling we had back in the day when you and your friends brought over your controllers to your other friend’s house and played his brand new games

Yep. Me and my bros pretty much exclusively play gamepass games because it has that same feel. I don’t have to ask them to spend a dime to hop on with me. We can all hop on and play. And if one is on PC, and the game bar on windows is janky (it is 🤣) they integrated discord into Xbox. It’s nice.

Gamepass is cross-play? I did not know that.

Yes Discord with Xbox is amazing. I used it with frens to play D4. 2 of us were on Xbox. The other on PlayStation 👌🏾

Gamepass is PC/Xbox. I have two PC guys in my group. For now it is not coming to PlayStation, and frankly, I’d bet MS would love to put it there, but over Sony’s dead body. 🤣
