I think fiat farming is producing ample calories & food volume that's devoid in nutrition. We're nutritionally starving with full bellies & an insatiable hunger.

The fiat farming approach is to fight nature with machinery & chemicals.

Permaculture & Regen Ag focuses on working with natural processes to shift it towards production. This approach relies less on inputs & more on humans. Observing, reflecting & acting requires more human hours. I don't think machines & ai can replace this & I think this is desirable. It's s chaotic dance leads to more resilient & decentralised food production.

I think the current fiat farming techniques are unsustainable. We have maybe a decade or 2 before it will collapses.

As Will Harris puts it, he's not trying to feed the world, he's trying to feed his community. Can this approach feed the world as it exists now? Probably not - things need to change. How we live, what we do & what we value all need to change. Bitcoin helps with this change.
