developing a client on Nostr is like:

this function is a must but I will leave it later...

[then one week after]

oh, somebody already roll out a component that can be re-used! no need to code again

Using other people's code isn't always the easiest thing in the world either. Sometimes a few focussed functions do the trick.

Yea I wrote flycat(my web client) from scratch.I didn’t want to use some Nostr libraries either, can be time-consuming
