Please pray for the civilians in Gaza, who don't even know where to run to, anymore. Many are not able to leave, or be moved, because of frailness or caretaking.

Please also remember to pray for the 450 people seeking shelter with the Catholic parish in Gaza, including Father Romanelli. Israel has bombed this parish, in the past, and injured the priest.

> โ€œI express my profound closeness to the Palestinian people in Gaza, who continue to live in fear and to survive in unacceptable conditions, forcibly displaced โ€” once again โ€” from their own lands,โ€ the Pope said at his weekly general audience. โ€œBefore God almighty, who commanded โ€˜Thou shalt not kill,โ€™ and in the sight of all of human history, every person always has an inviolable dignity, to be respected and upheld.โ€

> โ€œI renew my appeal for a ceasefire, the release of hostages, and a negotiated diplomatic solution, fully respecting international humanitarian law. I invite you all to join in my heartfelt prayer that a dawn of peace and justice may soon arise,โ€ he added.

There are newborn babies in Gaza. Their mothers are half-starved and struggling to give milk. There is no formula and no clean water, even if there were.

The civilians have been abandoned by both the Hamas and Israel and are just being chased around a small territory, by bombs and gunfire.
