You can't even get onto a KYC'd platform in 2 minutes

Setting up an Uncle Jim node for your entire family is already faster than the legacy system

I tried it. It was really easy to set up. It creates like 2 or 3 services in systemd, and a couple of folders. I think the only thing I didn't like was that it seems to need shock wallet to setup. I didn't see an easy way to use a different wallet. And there were only 3 ways to set up channels. I didn't see an easy way to just open a channel with any node I'd want.

That being said, is fast and easy, otherwise. I also understand that it's in is early phase of development. My minor gripes could be addressed later.

Thanks for checking it out

Definitely hope to see other wallets import our kind 21000 proto in the future, but yea they're developed tightly together as the administrators dashboard is embedded into shockwallet

It's installing LND underneath so if you want to manually manage channels that can still be done via lncli. Channel management is however WIP in the dashboard. (Triple tap the logo in the top right and it'll flip into dashboard mode if you're the administrator... not much there at the moment though)

Lots to come ahead, Nostr will be usefull for social-graph based channels, channel marketplaces, and batch coordination to drop channel open fees ~80%๐Ÿคž

Ooohh! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ Ok, I'ma about to go and reinstall and run a node. โšกโšกโšก

Any chance of a arm64 build? ๐Ÿ˜

Haven't tested it myself but it should work, LND and nodejs have arm64 builds so pub should run fine

That's what I was thinking, too. When I tried in docker, it gave me an exec format error stating that it was looking for amd64 but system is arm64. When I tried the auto installer, it just quit and took me back to command prompt.

I don't want you to think I'm just over here complaining, lol. It works like gangbusters on my servers! I just think that my servers would be too op for my use case, is all. And I got like 9 RPIs, and a renegade board, over here collecting dust. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคฃ

Docker that makes sense... but ill have to look into why the script is prematurely exiting, otherwise manual install should work
