My first instincts on the nostr was to not flock to "the relay"

Everyone is so well trained by legacy tech to all see everything together, to be a hive mind all participating in the same centralized illusion

I was drawn to the idea of small secret circles, strange subcultures, rituals, secret handshakes and private access to information or clubs

Hell even corporations could run their own relay and client with only specific user interactions

That families would share a relay to post family news

I like how Amethyst gives me the option of what relays to send a note to

There is a lot of noise about getting new users on and that being on "the relay" may let them experience something they are more accustomed to however nostr is a new terrain and I like to find caves to go light fires in
