While I don’t like the idea of removing options for node runners, there are good arguments on both sides.

That might be a great way to live. This way you give the person the freedom to choose.

Choice is good, I’m just not sure I want to move to Knots that is supported by one guy who I find in some ways questionable yet.

I didn’t want to move away from Core about 6 months ago, but wanted to make block templates with Datum (which required Knots) so I moved 1 node to Knots. It has worked great plus I absolutely love all of the options that I get to choose from. It made me learn more about what goes into a block. For instance: “bare multisig” or bloom filter.”

Now that this fiasco is going on. There is no way that I am giving up my template control. So yesterday I moved my other 2 nodes to Knots. I got the best of both worlds though. The Core Logo remains, but the interior app is Knots.

I haven’t met Luke, Jason, nor Bitcoin Mechanic. Their cause sounds solid and their actions speak to that so unless they start to take away options that I care about… I’m in.
