The earth has a negative charge. This creates a small flow of positive ions down.

Buoyancy and density sort everything out.

You think "things fall" but you are very wrong.

Stand on the sea bed and drop a basketball for example. Did it "fall down".. No. Its just the relative density the determines direction of fall.

so if I gave something a negative charge it would fly off into space?

Changing the charge on small object does make them rise. Get your self a van de graaff generator and see for yourself.

I can't understand why the flat earth reality is so hard for most to accept.

You have zero evidence for the globe model they taught you to worship.

Seems to me imparting a negative charge to any object should cause it to leave the planet in your model which clearly doesn't happen.

If you want to have a discussion I'm going to need you to use language that shows respect for my views, which are genuinely held, even if you disagree with them, and telling me they amount to "worship" doesn't do this.

I don't want a discussion with you.

You can't change reality, and you can't prove your "spinning ball in a space vacuum chasing a fireball" model
