BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (IBIT) has achieved a remarkable milestone by surpassing the assets held by its long-established iShares Gold Trust (IAU). Despite launching only in January 2024, the Bitcoin ETF now boasts over $33 billion in net assets, while the Gold ETF, which has been available since 2005, holds just under that amount.
