I'm very into the flags of the Boer republics and British colonies in Southern Africa (and protectorates).

I once saw someone make a "Transvaal flag" but the colors were the trans flga with the green bar on the side. That made me laugh way too much.

My favourite flag of all time is probably the Union of South Africa flag/or old republican flag (pre-1994 South African flag).

The straight lines exert power (not a fan of asymmetrical diagonal lines in flags), but also there are so many flags within this flag, I love it!
