As a #prepper or #modernsurvivalist, I’m very happy with my solar system.
We have had it for three years and two price increases.
It has replaced much of our power. We have a net metering agreement (something the power companies are fighting) where we get a $0.07875 per kWh we produce credit against our bill. That goes up if they increase their rates, currently at $0.11275 per.
We are better able to cover costs and with our small battery back up get through one day of no power for our fridge and freezers. The 4K generator manages our heater. Still need to expand but it works for us.
