There is one question that always bothers me, and I don't know how to answer it. You should try:

What if our next evolutionary form isn't human at all, but rather artificial intelligence.

Is it possible that our creation may become our future evolutionary form?

Here is a main question:

Will we be willing to limit our own capabilities in order to remain as we are?

Or will we allow AI to become our next evolutionary form, potentially leading to the emergence of a Type 10 civilization?

I’ve thought about this multiple times, and the more you ponder questions like this the more you realize there is so little we actually know about our past, and about the fabric of our reality. What is to come will come or may already be happening or have already happened, time may not be a linear as we think.

It makes sense; our brains were not designed to understand this kind of stuff, but rather to kill animals in order to survive.
