I love how they just had a Bitcoin Conference in the UAE where women need permission from their guardian to drive, vote, hold property, work or get an education.

Different rules for visitors
Yes I understand, but the local ladies that weren’t expats had a very different experience.
They were completely allowed to do whatever we in the west do, not all of the locals live by these rules any longer.
Bitcoin conferences are circle jerks put on by self-righteous rich men who are wannabe elites. So this tracks. Everyday working bitcoiners like us are not invited and I don't think most of us would go even if we could. At least I know I wouldn't.
