4 years on, the m1 macbook air is still the best laptop ive ever bought.
Discussion
If you were to upgrade/replace your M1 today, which model would you go with? My fav laptop of all time was the early generation macbook air laptops. They just really nailed the form-factor, weight, screen size, combo on those early models.

wow... looks like a very nice option for amd64 + linux 🤔
I’ve also got an M3 pro and its an absolute monster of a machine. I love it but it mostly stays on my desk plugged into my monitor. So its more like a desktop machine that I opportunistically use as a laptop.
Wish I shelled out the extra 600 for more storage and ram 😂
Said everyone at some point 🤙
I've been tempted to get an ARM model for quite some time, but now I'm holding off on the very low-probability chance they can address the GoFetch security hole without completely destroying performance on the M4... 😅
My Mid-2012 MacBook Pro is still alive. Use it for everything. The only downside is the L key and period key don’t work, the lightning port doesn’t work, and lastly the Bluetooth doesn’t work anymore.
Audiojack still works and WiFi still works and that’s all I need.
Probably one of the best things I've ever bought
I got burnt out with the 8gb or 16gb limitation with macbook airs. Other than that I agree that newer macbook airs could literally be the best ever.
