No reason it wouldn't be real and those would be nip 4 messages. It's fixed with nip 17, where you would only see the recipient receiving gift wrapped messages from random npubs, spread out over time to thwart timing analysis. That is if you see them at all because they should only be sent to trusted relays that are either private, or only relay gift wraps to the authenticated recipient
