Framed #620 (without giving the film away, the only good one was the first one. Last night I watched the Neon Demon - which was a good film but an unsettling one. It makes models unattractive, which given that's the point of modelling, not to get too Zoolander about it, is a testament to Nicolas Winding Refn - whose Danish films are superb. In my minimal experience of models they weren't like that. Maybe some are. Maybe at the very top it's different. It reminded me somewhat of Nicolas Roeg films in that it is a 'trip through something' - making the visual and audio aspects of direction intrinsic to the screenplay. Some films could seemlessly transition between a film or a play and a minority that are forever fixed as film. The Neon Demon is fixed as a film. Films that can't be transmuted into plays are notable if they manage not to be crap. Films that can't be plays are like the real life ineffable.)
