I know alot of Bitcoiners are annoyed with the whole inscriptions trend, myself included, and I try to pay attention to what these guys are doing withe block space out of interest sake so I know what I am talking about when I call it silly and I am growing more confident that we don't need to do anything for it to fail

I know some parts of the community want to take an active stance with spam filters on their node like Bitcoin Knots and #Ordisrespector, OCEAN is offering ordinal free block templates for miners, but these are only speed bumps

What I really think is happening is the #Ordinals community baulks under its own weight, watching the drama with ths #Jubilee update, just shows how disjointed this "protocol" is and every new update adds new attack vectors and points of failure along with infighting between companies and users

Using block space to anchor arbitrary data with more complex off-chain indexing and management is going to fail in my opinion, and they will just need to learn that the hard way and lose a lot of money in the process

Just wait until the bull run starts in earnest, the degeneracy will shift elsewhere and all this shit will be like a dead fork at the next halving with a few people desperately hanging on and everyone else laughing at them

It requires a constant flow of money. And its not smart money. Dumb money won't last forever.

Nice. Thanks for sharing

Also curious if core implemented Luke's filters if it would break their clients, ppl say that filters are a game of whackamole but I guess they would have to upgrade their clients, don't know if previous inscriptions would be valid.
