It seems to be a global trend that fat people don’t make it past 80 or so.
US life expectancy is only 74...
Unfortunately not surprising since ~70% of Americans are overweight or obese and that is correlated to earlier mortality.
My original note stems from a recent random visit to a “nursing home” where out of like 100 old people I didn’t see a single obese person. Not exactly scientific but was just a curious observation I made
