Quant, it's fully privacy respecting though i understand it's not yet available in all regions

Literally anything but Google. I'll shout a question out the window in my nightcap like Scrooge before I use Google.

Somebody mentionned stract.com . I like it so far.

gonna say Brave , but I don't know how it stacks up against others

Duck duck go

I stopped using duck duck when they announced they were going to downrank results associated with 'Russian disinformation'. No thanks, I'll decide what is noise and what is signal.

Searxng aggregates results from whatever search engines you choose and does not store user data.

Books. Bitcoin podcasts. You can add a bunch in AntennaPod and the search their episodes to find things you're interested in.

Perplexity is also surprisingly balanced.

The test of any search engine is whether it can produce relevant results for "Benefits of hydroxychloroquine to treat covid 19"

100%, also test : “is climate crisis a hoax?”

I'm interested in this topic as well.

Both duck duck go and brave have been giving dumbed-down, largely crap results for months now, and getting worse lately.
