The kid asked to help cook today, we made a chicken shawarma salad. He mixed up the marinade for the chicken, made the dressing, chopped the onion and cucumber, threw the chicken in the skillet, and assembled the salads.

The dressing had tahini in it, the kid said it tasted nutty and then started calling it nut water 😂 I somehow didn't laugh. I corrected him and told him it was sesame seeds and it was oil from the sesame seeds not water, he says so it's a seed oil 🤨. It was a good cooking lesson with no drama or bleeding, and the salad was yummy. #momstr #kidstr #kidssaythedarndestthings
