The switch to colour film must’ve really impacted on bands, that plus LSD, no wonder it all got very vibrant.
Still crazy to think what that band went through in such a short time, and that they only lasted 7 years.
Either way, it blows your mind for sure. They were a phenomenon.
Also bands getting that kind of creative access in the studio. Until then and even then, the engineers were in white lab coats.
I think one of the real shames in the decline of the industry, no one’s getting a lockout sessions at Abbey Road for months on end. But look at what albums came out under those conditions.
