What do you mean? Damus has always been a live feed
Idk. It never felt like that before. In previous versions, I always clicked home button to get the latest note. But this time, feed got updated automatically.

If you’re at the very top of your feed it becomes a live feed. Although it does seem like switching to different tabs can help get the latest latest notes to show up
