The first of my tiny fodder trees is in the ground. Hybrid willow. Every time i plant a new tree, i think i'm done planting trees, i have enough. But then i find some more trees that i have to plant. #grownostr #permies #trees #gardening

Funny thing, I also got trees from the rare plant store. I missed the delivery on Thursday and Friday. My little rural post office does not have Saturday pickup. So they sat in the packaging for almost a week before I could open them. There were little roots coming out all over the stem. Almost all the way up. Wherever there weren’t leaves popping the buds put out roots. So I planted them a little deeper.
Nick delivers some quality trees and they grow like weeds with minimal care.
One recommendation, more mulch, lots more. 4-6 inches deep. Weed competition is your biggest enemy the first year.

Good to hear, i'm hoping for some good results. All of them have tiny leaves on them already. I shared a few of them with my friend who gave me the new chicks.
