Agreed on the DYOR. I just got recent bloodwork, and I basically have to make decisions based upon how I look/feel when it comes to LDL and ApoB specifically.
My LDL is kind of high - so that makes my ApoB high. I do not care about the LDL because my Triglycerides/HDL ratio is less than 1 and fasting insulin and hsCRP are great.
But I do have what the reference range considers a Very High ApoB.
Peter Attia wants you to get your LDL and ApoB to an infant's level. Paul Saladino disregards higher LDL and ApoB if the other numbers are good...and you are eating animal-based and whole foods.
Two thought leaders - two different opinions. My next step would be a coronary calcium score, so perhaps I do that in 2024. But even then...would any plaque be a result of the first 50 years of life...even though my revised nutrition/body comp and associated labwork dramatically changed over the LAST 5 years.
