I received the sats, this is so slick. I'm on iris on my pc and amethyst on android
iris seems to run a bit smoother but i spend way more time on my phone so will have to get used to amethyst soon

Yes. It’s the NIP-05 so people know you aren’t a bot. Some of the paid relays will only allow accounts with it.
Also you might want to check out #plebchain there are lots of new users and a good place to find followers and make friends.
