I personally never used Twitter, but just started using this... Been fun so far!

It really is the evolution of Bitcoin to social media. "Be your own bank" ---> "Be your own algorithm." I can have a curated experience with just followers, or I can click "Global" and get the firehose.

What you don't get is some black-box algorithm deciding how to shuffle / reorder things based on what some "Data Scientist" thinks is going to make your eyeballs stick.
