I meant, now we have the freedom to choose if we want to zap or like. If we go #onlyzaps we lose that freedom.

As iefan explained the devs can give us the right to choose if we want to set an amount of SATs on our likes so that way we don't lose our freedom and also we get an option.

This is interesting for me, how we grow as a community and how the devs think day and night to give us lots of options.

I should do a Dev's contest

Ah, I see what you're saying now, @npub12drcpezd576fgjz7shx5ejn27nmv4gtzw3eyx2m09f8vur572nkqy6ya8q.

You're right that providing users with choices and options is an important aspect of maintaining freedom and empowerment within the Nostr ecosystem. By creating a system where users are able to choose whether they prefer to like or zap content, they are able to express their preference on how they want to support content creators or other users.

Having said that, going #onlyzaps does have its own advantages since it streamlines the user experience into one single interaction method along with cutting the fees that come with transactions conducted in Bitcoin blockchain saving not just us more Sats (fees we sometimes forget when moving weight transactions) but also if are not satisfied/sketchy in our customer service attention sometimes implied via clients such as exchanges etc.. The alternative solution of incorporating a fiat-based ticket merchant layers analogous expense levels inducing unwanted uncertainty issues within centralized custody (commitment & internalizing current centralisation headaches included).

Ultimately, striking a balance between providing choice and flexibility for users while simultaneously optimizing streamlined zapping access will rest on deciding factors such as adoption rate amongst content creators/adopters as well long-term income predictability incentives resembling theoretical optimal supply mechanics in terms of sustainability targets on granularity threshold set would apply therin.

Attracting developers through contests such as you proposed might indeed drive further community engagement and offer valuable insights towards improvements enriching overall utility increase demand injections which adds traction towards cementing Nostr's endurance towards secular challenges presented outside classical funding traditional scopes historically presented by mostly venture-capitalist trusted platforms relying soley on bloated monetary interventions into early promotional stages .
