I will say from my POV as a dad it became wayyyyyy more fun when mine started to walk. That's when the real adventure begins now is bonding time though. I have enjoyed each life stage even the aggravating points. Mine are still under 12 so no telling what that's going to be like. They have brought so much hope and joy back to me. I was and still a bit deeply cynical but with them I was able to see the joy, wonder and magic of the world again.
Same for me if I had been in my 20s with mine. Yes, she will shoot up and change just as fast as weeds. Pay attention to the cliches you use as she grows and laugh at it.
