everyone’s asleep so i can say that it sucks trying to explain what nostr is over & over with my irl friends. they just never will get it. i remain on twitter to connect with my real life friends and community, but i dont want to. but its not easy to share nostr to anyone outside of the bitcoin sphere.

my close friends have nostr npubs already, they just don’t have any care to use nostr. they know they need it, it’s just boring for anyone outside of bitcoin sadly.

It doesn't matter, Nostr is not good enough yet, it needs time.
Tell them to block the word Bitcoin and they'll se how many non bitcoin content is already around here. You can experiment it yourself if you use #Amethyst

Just woke up. I was considering for some time to recommend Nostr to my wife. I did not so far. Why? She is not very interested in btc and technical stuff and financial issues and no one of her friends are here. But maybe I didn’t check the broader world of Nostr on her further interests.
Yeah, it's going to take a while.
Most my friends do even get bitcoin, I gave up trying to explain and I don't even bother with nostr. People in most Western countries won't get it, their cages are made of gold
