I fully agree. I'm saying that for as long as there is a window for peaceful coexistence, before Bitcoin swallows the system, let there be peace. The longer the govs of the world wait with their initiative to ban and restrict Bitcoin, the more unlikely their successes will be. If they, the politicians and their stooges, entangle themselves in Bitcoin's web right now, they will only fight over coins and dominance but not Bitcoin itself.

Ok, I see your point now, thanks for explaining further.. yes I do agree with you, more time passes, the higher the hashrate and the less the probability of them hurting the protocol itself.. 💜🤙🍀🔥🫂

Hashrate be damned if the ISPs receive order to cut every connection that syncs a node. It's a game of whack a mole but trivial to implement. We won't be syncing over Tor, that's for sure.

If the goal was to cripple the network, this is the simple stupid solution. The Lightning Network is almost completely custodial, it disappears instantly when AWS, Google, Hetzner, Alibaba shut down the accounts that run nodes.

This is always on the table, better let the greedy bastards who are on postions to give these kinds of orders play the stacking game.
