Does it?

I criticized nostr and now everyone is retaliating.

Just like i criticized Roger and he retaliated.

Shouldnt it be an ostrich face in the meme or whatever?

It is the same situation. Not a reversal. I am not the one making things personal.

Like, Roger, nostr is taking criticism of their protocol personally.

"Ncash" is ironic, not witty...

Discussion

I missed the original podcast and John’s criticism of nostr.

I wonder about the resource costs of nostr as a function of number users, but I have no framework for thinking about this.

Also, a general observation I’ve made having been in bitcoin since July 2010: the flatter the affect and the more

Asperger-y the vibe, the lower the probability of being wrong. nostr:npub1lh273a4wpkup00stw8dzqjvvrqrfdrv2v3v4t8pynuezlfe5vjnsnaa9nk is a good example.

If JC has a criticism, it’s well worth thinking carefully about.

No offense…

Don't have a dog in this fight but my impression is that nostr:npub13ndpm2hm9hud4azsq5euhf5mv3d05r90wymwxsd7rdn29609hhvqp60svh is using ragebate marketing tactics to promote his products. I can't imagine this is too successful on a network like #Nostr but who knows.

Nostr: where noting design flaws is seen as ragebaiting because nostr kids cant handle anything but circlejerking.

lol…humans gonna has da feels…but a sober discussion of design flaws is, imho, welcome for any software.

To me it all comes down to costs. Are they reasonable at scale or not? I dunno.

I would try your social media but

A) I suspect that due to minimal network effect there is no one there I'd be interested in following.

B) Since I logged out of X six months ago and am only sporadically on #Nostr I realize my life is better.

What I really need is a dumb pipe of #Bitcoin news and related news like what nostr:npub1hxjnw53mhghumt590kgd3fmqme8jzwwflyxesmm50nnapmqdzu7swqagw3 was. I feel like social media has gone the way of cable news, drama for drama's sake requiring major time and effort to get anything of substance.

As best I can tell, it comes from this question filled detail free post: nostr:nevent1qqsf9gzs96ff8368qk5twt7alsn50g8ew4ru063g9c0kmfqu0vwnrkgjm2xnp

And to be honest, these are standard questions on most always ask about everything to reason about its future.

But considering a question doesn’t make its premise true. And I’m not at all convinced the direction of the argument implied but not stated in his questions is true. And he wasn’t trying to convince anyone of anything. He was just reminding people how to think.
