I did 2 week voluntary work in a homeless centre over 10 years ago. It was an eye opener. Its hard to change people's perspectives, sometimes it feels like any progress made is quickly offset by all the people they are surrounded by which drag them back down to earth.

I'm keeping an open mind, the world is a big place, I'd prefer to work with people that aren't so resistant. In the UK people are spoiled, they can't appreciate what they have.

It is very disheartening trying to help and they just don't want to know. I know the feeling.

Credit to you for trying.

My wife runs the NHS GP clinic in Oxford for the homeless.

I've also helped specific people during my life.

Wealthy people are definitely easier to help ๐Ÿ˜‚
