Better user experience and administrative controls does not equal greater freedom.
Discussion
What does that mean exactly? What do you think nostr is doing that others are not ?
Tell me of another protocol that is doing more to support freedom than #nostr.
So you dont know what you are talking about then ......how can we have a discussion. You are drinking the kool aid and didnt answer the question
We’re having a discussion. I simply asked a question. If I don’t know what I’m talking about, then teach me.
Nostr gives you freedom to connect to relays that will accept your unique key, your nsec . You own your account, thats the cool part that nobody else does.
Media uploads are not decentralized like your account and posts.
Relays can white list or black list your account like any other service and censor you.
Relays can disappear or be censorsed by governments just like anything else.
The only benefit is that your data is spread across relays and it will be harder to make you disappear
Most decentralized tech like Mastodon or whatever will allow sign ups and your posts are stored on any server that allows you.
In the end , its mostly all the same and has thebsame problem.
Yeah, so you see, I have an issue with fiefdoms granting allowance.

it's all the same basically at the end of the day. Nostr will have mass censorship like anyone else. They already have the ability in the relays. Usually when the trannies have a large online presence it begins
Relays are more censorship resistant than centralized servers.
Very true. Just like every other tech, most users flee to big relays and instances on distributed platforms because us little guys suck and not much engagement like the big boys. That's the bad part. You don't share a common relay with someone you used to know? You are excommunicated lol.
