I’ve noticed with vibe coding it’s hit or miss - you either get really impressive results or really dumb behavior.

There were times where I put in a single sentence and got a nearly perfect working app. And other times where I have to bash the keyboard over and over and still can’t get one thing to work.

Not sure what that means, maybe different personality bots…

Also noticed that when starting from scratch you’re better off keeping the prompt vague and open - don’t go into detail explening every little part.

But once you get into the specific functions, you really have to spell things out and find examples, and explicitly state your desired outcome with as much detail as possible in terms of how to get there (requires actual searching, pointing to libraries, etc… )

I’ve had the best results building slow and deliberate, and approaching things atomically like real software design.

Create a central tokens file for colors and typography.

Leverage it to build reusable components.

Assemble components into more complex views.

Stitch views together into flows, etc.

Bit more work and you have to delay max vibes, but totally worth it in the long run.
