Capacitive Touch screens are proof all modern tech comes from southern California where "winter" means overnight lows in the 40s. Some of us are racing frostbite to send a text in the rest of the world.

It's definitely a choice... Reflects a lot of Steve Job's ideas about how people should interact with computers.

If it weren't for him we'd probably still have physical buttons on phones... I'm not convinced this is an "inevitable" evolution of the tech

Just use your tongue. Then you can keep your gloves on.

I've used my nose but a time comes in a mans life when you can't see close enough to do that anymore.

They make plenty of capacitive-friendly gloves. I'm not convinced you could type any more easily on tiny blackberry keyboards with gloves on.

Those tiny keyboards sucked too. Every pair of touchscreen gloves I've tried was cold and it didn't work well on the screen.
