The narrative of high chain fees being good for lightning network needs to stop. High chain fees is horrible for the lightning network. It kills it.

If it kills lightning then lightning never made sense.
High chain fees are not bad for Lightning, not worse than to on-chain transactions at least.
Lightning channels are a buffer to on-chain usage, it reduces notably the need to transacts on-chain.
If you think this is high fees then wait for mainstream adoption
