South Korea’s Constitutional Court has declared that President Yoon Suk Yeol’s declaration of martial law last December did not meet the legal requirements for a national crisis, and that he violated the law by sending troops into the National Assembly in an attempt to stop the vote reversing his martial law declaration.
South Korea’s Constitutional Court has also upheld President Yoon Suk Yeol’s impeachment in an 8-0 vote.
